    This TransGo 6F35-G2 SHIFT KIT® Valve Body Repair Kit fits 2012 and newer Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda vehicles equipped with a GEN2 6F35 automatic transmission. Common complaints with this transmission are 2-3 cut loose, no reverse, TCC slip as well as various gear ratio and solenoid performance codes. This kit does not fit GEN1 units.

    These complaints are often the result of wear at the solenoid pressure regulator valve bore. The purpose of the solenoid regulator valve is to limit the pressure going to the solenoids. The solenoid regulator valve spring is calibrated to prevent the solenoid feed pressure from exceeding a predetermined PSI, no matter what main line pressure is. This is necessary to prevent more fluid from being fed to the solenoids than they can effectively regulate and limit what max line pressure output is. If the pressure feeding the solenoids is too high or too low, their output will also be too high or too low. As a result, shift quality complaints and codes can occur along with low or high main line pressure.

    Other complaints are the TCC slip problem and related trouble codes, no reverse and 2-3 cut-loose. To address the TCC problems, a new TCC regulator valve is included that is fitted with a scarf cut sealing ring at one end which restores the valve function without reaming the bore. Lastly, quite often the D2 checkball blows through separator plate which ruins the plate and results in the no reverse as well as the 2-3 cut loose conditions.

    Features and benefits:

    The kit includes an oversized solenoid pressure regulator valve. The new valve is oversize, therefore you will need the TransGo tool-kit part # AFL-G2-TK to ream the bore. This universal tool-kit works for all GEN2 6F35, 6T30, 6T40, 6T45, 6T50, 6T70, 6T75 and 6T80 transmissions.

    A new drop-in hardened steel TCC regulator valve that has re-positioned longer lands and incorporates a groove where a scarf cut seal is fitted so that it seals in the original worn bore. Also, a drop-in two-piece design PR valve reduces sticking and restores the function and reliability of the pressure regulator system. In addition, this valve will not delaminate and create future bore wear problems like the OE coated valves do. The two-piece design valve outperforms the single piece valve in all operating environments. Lastly, the kit includes an improved replacement valve body separator plate and gaskets.
